What makes an alarm shared?
A shared alarm connects a time with another person. Instead of separately setting reminders and hoping they match, you make an explicit plan together. In Alarmee, an approved contact can create an alarm for you, or you can create a “both of us” alarm for a shared commitment.
That distinction is useful: a friend alarm helps one person with their schedule, while a shared alarm gives both people a reason to show up. Your personal alarms still have a place for plans that are just yours.
Choose the right alarm for the plan
Start with who needs the reminder. A wake-up before your own shift needs a different setup from an early walk with your partner.
- Personal: keep your own appointments and wake-ups organised.
- Friend: help an approved contact with an agreed wake-up or reminder.
- Both of us: coordinate a study session, departure, or routine you share.
Keep your circle intentional
Pair with someone you trust and agree on what they can help with. Alarmee uses private pairing and friend permissions, so sharing an alarm starts with approval. Decide on sensible times and what, if anything, you want the other person to do after the alarm.
Shared snooze and stop activity is available through Alarmee Pro. It can give your partner context, but stopping an alarm is not proof that someone is out of bed or ready to leave. A quick check-in can still be part of your plan.

Do shared alarms only work for mornings?
No. Use them for study sessions, appointments, travel departures, evening routines, or another time you have agreed to keep together.
Does everyone need Alarmee?
Both people need Alarmee on a compatible iPhone or iPad and must pair before using friend or shared alarms together.
Can anyone send me an alarm?
No. Alarmee uses approved contacts and permissions. Pairing is a choice, not an open invitation to strangers.
