A personal alarm supports your own schedule. A friend alarm is created for an approved contact who has agreed to receive alarms from you. A “both of us” alarm is for a time or commitment you share.
For example, your solo appointment needs a personal alarm. Helping a partner with an early shift calls for a friend alarm. Getting ready for a walk together is a natural fit for a “both of us” alarm. Choose based on who needs to act.
Pairing comes before sharing
Alarmee uses private pairing and friend permissions. Both people use the app and approve the connection; strangers cannot create alarms for you simply because they know who you are.
Before pairing becomes part of your routine, talk about which plans you want help with. Permission to create alarms works best alongside an agreement about suitable times and whether follow-up messages are welcome.
Set up your first shared plan
Choose a low-pressure plan for your first attempt so you can check how the setup behaves before relying on it.
- Install Alarmee on both compatible iPhones or iPads.
- Pair and review the relevant permissions together.
- Choose a friend alarm or a shared “both of us” alarm.
- Confirm the date, time, and intended recipient or participants.
- Check device setup prompts and test a short alarm together.
Understand what shared activity means

An alarm action is still just an alarm action. It does not prove that someone got up, left the house, or completed a task. If your plan needs confirmation, agree on a simple check-in. If you are in different time zones, check the local date and time on both devices as well.

No. In Alarmee you create an alarm through an approved connection. A message can explain the plan, but it is not the same as setting the alarm in the app.

What should I check if setup is not working?
