An accountability alarm.Someone in your corner.

A reminder can tell you the time. A shared commitment gives you another reason to act. Bring a trusted person into your next routine with Alarmee.

Turn a vague intention into a start

“Study more” is difficult to put on a clock. “Open our notes at 5:30” gives you something concrete to begin. An accountability alarm works best when it points to a small action that you and your partner understand.

Pick someone who wants to support the plan. Alarmee lets approved contacts create friend alarms or share a “both of us” alarm, so you can ask for a nudge or start a routine together.

Build a simple accountability agreement

You do not need constant reminders. You need a clear time, a manageable first action, and an agreed way to follow up.

  1. Name the action: get dressed for a walk, open a textbook, or begin a practice session.
  2. Choose a time that fits the day you actually have.
  3. Pair in Alarmee and create the appropriate friend or shared alarm.
  4. Agree on one check-in and what to do if the plan changes.

Use activity as context, not a score

Alarmee Pro offers shared snooze and stop activity. This can help you understand whether an alarm was acted on, but it cannot tell you whether the person completed their workout or finished studying. Keep the follow-up focused on the action you agreed to do.

If you repeatedly miss a routine, make the first step smaller or move the time. A shared alarm supports your plan; it does not make an unrealistic schedule sustainable. Choose encouragement that helps your partner want to try again tomorrow.

Good to know

A few more answers.

What can I use an accountability alarm for?

Use it for a specific start: a workout, study session, morning routine, practice block, or another commitment you want help keeping.

Does my partner have to do the same activity?

No. A friend alarm can support your own commitment. Choose a “both of us” alarm when you both want a reminder for a shared start.

Does snooze tracking prove a habit is complete?

No. Alarm activity describes interactions with the alarm. Check in with each other if you want to discuss the routine itself.
